Hungry and it is late at night? I was able to try the Manang's Chicken and it is really tasty. 4pcs of chicken without rice costs 99php.

I ordered my first drink (Mango Shake) from Fruit Shakers. On my second drink, I was about to order Watermelon Shake but kuya does not want to slice it because it will take time and there are still a lot of customers so I had to change my order to Lychee Shake. 

These pizza burgers are very enticing and looks yummy. But when we decided to order, it was sold out already.

My friends & I will definitely go back here to try out the other food. Find time to visit Distrito Makati so that you can experience and taste these food too. 

Symphony of Lights and Sounds

The Ayala Triangle is a spot in the midst of skycrapers of Ayala. It has now been the favorite place to dine out in Makati since many restaurants opened in 2010. Now that it's the Christmas Season again, people have a new reason to go to Ayala Triangle Gardens. They can visit the Symphony of Lights and Sounds show everyday, every hour from 6PM to 9PM from November 16 to December 30. When your car passes by Ayala, you will actually see the colorful lights from afar. When you're actually standing under the lighted trees, it looks wonderful and enchanting. Despite Makati being known as a busy district, this is still definitely a place to unwind and relax. Enjoying the lights and sounds show can be a short escape to the very busy and hectic world out there.

Pocket Shoes On The Go

Are you tired of wearing your heels all day? Then you really have to check this out! These are actually shoes which are foldable. They call it Pocket Shoes. I found these in one of the bazaars I went to. A lot of girls are surrounding their booth so when I found a little vacant space among the girls, I also squeeze into the little space and saw these foldable shoes. Amazed of it, I tried one on and found that it is also very soft and comfortable to wear. So I bought one for myself also.

I love wearing my POSH shoes, it helps me walk around in the city comfortably especially in Ayala, when you have to do a lot of walking and pass by underpasses to be able to go to your destination which sometimes is just a building right across where you are standing. When I am in heels, I can easily switch to these flats for they are just in my bag.

I also love the designs which you can easily mix and match with your daily outfit even in the office. =)

Bottomline is I love these flats! I'm glad that I bought it! :)

Racks Sweet n' Smoky Ribs

After watching a movie in SM MOA, my boyfriend and I decided to eat dinner at Racks. The restaurant was on full house that night so we have to be on the waiting list for just a few minutes. It's not hard to find a table for us since we are only 2. Upon sitting on our table, the waitress immediately gave us a menu and offered us another table at the corner that is not in use to put our groceries so there will be enough space for us on our table. Well, it just happened we're sitted near the corner that the extra table can't be occupied already, so she offered it to us. It's great because their staff is very accommodating and she is mindful of the comfort of her customers. (two thumbs up!)  Then, she immediately enticed us with Racks' new menu. It's Sweet n' Smoky Ribs! At first, we were thinking if we should just choose our old time favorite or try out this new one. But after thinking it through and with the picture in the menu that is really tempting, we decided to order the new Racks Sweet n' Smoky Ribs.

And dinner is served...

My Sweet n' Smoky Ribs. It looks yummy right? Yes it is sweet and smoky!!! A tender and meaty pork lavished with alluring and savory sauce. You can pair it with their in-house barbecue sauce. The good part is it also comes with 2 side dishes of your choice!:) Fortunately, they allowed us to have rice in lieu to one of the side dishes. So, I ordered rice and coleslaw for my side dish. It's a good thing that we decided to try this one! No regrets and it is now our new favorite at Racks! You can also try it out in a branch near you!:)

Yesterday, I got the prize I won from Unbox(www.unboxph) and AKG Philippines (www.facebook.com/AKGPhilippines) which I won when I joined their online giveaway last month. The prizes are 2 sets of AKG K311 Earphones!!! 

This was my winning entry: Great prize! I want to share this with my sister Elaine Chua as token for being an awesome sister! =) More power to Unbox and AKG Philippines!

Upon grasping it with my own two hands, I was really excited to open it. Its package is an elegant black box. To see what's inside, you can flip the covers which were held together by magnets. So I opened it at once and my boyfriend plugged it to his iphone and played a song. We listened using this earphones and I was able to hear top-notch sound quality. I really felt its superiority to the ordinary earphones that regularly comes with the package of my gadgets. The bass was also very clear & remarkable. As written in a part of the box it has increased bass response. It also comes with foams for the earbuds to ensure comfort.


The colors of this deep-isolating in-ear earphones are also cool, I had the colors lime and milk. I can't even decide which piece I am going to use and which piece I will give to my sister. There are 3 colors available in the market for this piece, it also comes in plum. 

Our friend, who also owns this kind of earphones, told us that you can buy this for just php799. I was really amazed because it is very affordable for a good earphones. If I am to name the price of this earphones, I will definitely give a price higher than php799.


Of course, I know there are a lot of other earphones in the market which are more expensive and more high-end but this will definitely stand out and will be a great companion for music-lovers. Because above all, it has great quality and is very stylish & affordable!

Hinilawod Experience

September 3, 2011 - I watched a Filipino epic play entitled Hinilawod - Tales from the mouth of the Halawod River with Alex at the CCP. Tickets are courtesy of his sister.

             This was my first time to watch a play featuring a Filipino epic. The play was amazing, the costumes were fantastic, and the actors were really good. The story was about a goddess, Alunsina, who chose to marry a mortal Datu Paubari, the mighty ruler of Halawod. Datu Paubari won Alunsina's heart because of his extraordinary courage and persistent. The other gods knew about this and were raged about Alunsina's decision. The gods bought flood to the human race as punishment. Alunsina's sister and the goddess and guardian of happy homes, Suklang Malayon, was able to warn them so they were able to escape the flood and go to the higher grounds. When the flood had subsided, they decided to return and settle at the mouth of the Halawod River. There she gave birth to 3 sons named Labaw Donggon, Humadapnon, and Dumalapdap. The three sons had their own adventures of bravery, honor and romance.

*** I like the villains in the movie specially the dragon which was presented with glowing lights in the dark. I love all the dancing which made me miss dancing Filipino folk dances back in highschool. The play was really a must-watch for every Filipino. A perfect way to know & love Pinoy art!
